///

Holly, Hannah and I decided to try and recreate our own studio, using a white wall and two flashes. I had never used any equipment outside of the photography studio but with Holly and Hannah’s help I managed to learn more about lighting and how angles give you different effects. We used one flash to light the white wall and another attached to our cameras. We struggled with setting up the flashes and getting them to work. After a lot of testing it finally started to work. We experimented with angles and how differently they lit your face. Due to having absolutely no knowledge on how this equipment worked,I feel I did alright.
The images that worked well:

I feel that these images worked well because of the angles we used. I found that when i directed the flash to the side, where it would bounce of surronding walls, it created more shadows and highlighted the face rather well.

And the images that did not work as well:

I feel that these images did not work as well. I feel that this is because the flash was directed straight towards to subject. Too much light and not enough shadows were created.

I would definitely like to learn about studio equipment and feel that this session prepared me a little for future studio inductions.
